Mission Statement
The Joy Like Anna Foundation was created to honor the life and legacy of Anna Pritchett Kamplain. The foundation's mission is to spread joy through service and mission projects that Anna was passionate about during her lifetime.
Anna's Story
At the age of 2, Anna was diagnosed with an auto immune disease called Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (PSC). Anna lived a normal life throughout her childhood. She was active in sports, school, church activities and was always surrounded by friends. Anna always had a smile on her face, and many never knew she was sick at all. As she entered her teenage years, she began showing signs that the disease had progressed and was added to the liver transplant list. Anna was the recipient of a liver transplant in December 2017, but unexpectedly passed away a few weeks later after complications.
The Joy Like Anna Foundation
was formed the next year to honor the
life and legacy of Anna. The purpose of the foundation is to support, help, bring awareness, raise, and donate money to the charitable causes that Anna was passionate about during her life, including to organ donation,
religious missions, and helping others through random acts of kindness.
